Spring Setting for a Small Table

Spring Setting for a Small Table

Spring Setting Small Table Blog

So you have a small table. It’s just as easy and just as beautiful to dress as a larger one. I played with a new table setting which incorporated elements indicative of Spring and lots of texture.

Beginning with the plates, I chose a versatile wildflower pattern with subtle pinks, lavenders, blues, and golds in a very organic design. The smaller plates were more organic in shape and comprised little bluebirds. Now, what says Spring like a little bluebird?  I liked this table set as it was not a typical round set, but an interesting shape and aesthetic, and a perfect backdrop for the wildflowers. The glasses were light blue, simple, yet textured with wavy bubbles for a more pleasing look and feel.

I paired the stoneware with napkins in a solid rose texture, and the second set of butterflies, bunnies, and wildflowers to create synergy with the rest of the setting. The napkin rings were made of distressed wood. The napkins brought versatility to the look as they can be used as Spring or Easter decor. A simple set of silverware completed the practical portion of the table. Now for the decoration.

The centerpiece was created to compliment the natural elements of the tableware. I use succulents as a binder for many of my tablescapes. Four varieties surrounded a textured cream-colored vase holding sprigs of lavender. All of which were displayed on a raw-edged slice of wood. Elements were tied together using nature as the backdrop. The table is very small but dressed for an overall pleasing aesthetic.

I hope you have enjoyed the look at a small and pretty touch of Spring.
